Easter Weekend :)

Hey family! So a lot has been going on the past week. We just got finished with our Spring Bridal and Floral Show which was kinda a big deal for me and the other girls in my major. For those of you who have never been before we basically split up into 6 groups and planned 6 different weddings. This year the theme was the creation so there was a wedding for each day of the creation. I was on line 3 so my wedding was based on the creation of land and plants. Our colors were green and brown with accents of pink and orange. It was extremely stressful to say the least but luckily our wonderful mom came up to help and saved day(something she does so very well) :) The day before the show I was assigned all of the major designs and I think they turned out pretty well. Here are some pics...what do you think? Over all it was amazing. All of the lines were beatuiful and I think that we are all glad to have it over with!
Each girl aslo makes a bouquet of their own. We were assigned flowers and this is what I came up with :)
Besides that my weekend was wonderful. Mom came to visit and although most of the time she was here we were living in the floral design lab we had a great time. She was great help with the show and afterwards we got to go to Extravadance. :) And of course we dyed Easter eggs. It was great to have family around for the holiday :)
Mom let me do her hair....what do you think? I love it! :)
You should all be very proud of Mom...she went skiing with me this weekend for the first time since she was pregnant with me and she did GREAT! Sadly the weather was not very cooperative but she was a good sport and remembered just how much she loves it!

Well I think I covered pretty much all of it! :) Justin is great. He was just trasfered to an area right outside of San Salvador. He said that it is much nicer to live there but the are will be more challenging because the people aren't quite as humble. He was also made Zone Leader so it sounds like the Lord is really challenging him. Remember to keep him in your prayers. xo

Deviled

Mmmmmm, delicious. Don't they look pretty on Grandma Jensen's china?

I would like to say we have had a peaceful, uplifting Easter Sunday, but it is just not so. Our sweet little Maddie is a bit deviled herself... by those darn teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I needed to vent a little and thought the family blog was a good place. Today has been the worst teething day of Maddie's whole life! Church was a joke--in between me filling in for our absent chorister while Maddie screamed for me, I was in the foyer trying to keep her from melting down from pain and lack of sleep. When we got home she didn't sleep long before she woke up screeching in pain. My ear drums are numb and my nerves are shot. Unfortunately, I'm not even sure I can see a tooth yet, and we still have 12 more to go! MERCY!!

I am hoping to post a calmer, rosier account of our Easter festivities tomorrow. :)

Update on the BIG MESS

You've all been asking so here's the best I can do to let you see what is going on at the old homestead.

I can never figure out how to get pictures in the right order so these are the newer ones... moving to the older ones at the bottom. The last week has been all about sheet rocking, taping and texturing, Boy what a mess! It makes such a fine dust that I feel like I've inhaled a whole house. Next comes painting. I guess that's my job. Cole and Dad say they will help. I hope so. We have to prime everything before we can get to the fun colors.

What do you think of this new cabnet color? I've got lots of work to do to get them all sanded and re'stained. The floor will be mahogony, so it is darker in some places and lighter in some.

The track lighting is all gone!! Yeah! They even got up there and repaired the sky light mess.

I can never get these pictures in the right order! these are the first day of tear down.
What a mess! Katie and I got busy on peeling the wallpaper, the scraping down the ceiling. What would I do without her!?

Walls are coming down all over the place!

Remember this sweet baby room... I painted 108 bears on the wall by hand...I needed to get a life!

Wish you could all come home so I could put you to work! Some days I feel over whelmed with what is still left to do.

I've had it!

So i just got done with a seriously HUGE post and when i pushed publish it said "Error" or something like that and erased the whole thing! I am so frustrated. I might try again someday... it seems like this happens every time i try to blog... must be a sign. I am not destined to be a blogger.

WHHOAAAA..it's been a while!

Okay, so i recognize that blogging has not yet become "my thing" but i am giving it another shot! Out lives have been crazy busy so here are a whole bunch of pictures or random things that we have been up to, needless to say, we always have time for some good ol' fashion FUN!

Welcome to the world little Emrie... she was so tiny and precious and make this cute little squeaky noise when she cried. She is getting so big and I LOVE being the "candy" aunt! I also got some good quality Maddie time! HOLG MOLY she is so big and when she walks she kicks her little legs out... the cutest little thing! In the top picture Maddie was trying to burp Emrie.. cute huh? I love my neices!

How could i forget little Estelle (Elle)! We can't wait to meet you! Landon's brother Stanton and wife Carly just had their 3rd... and they are all under 3! Carly is seriously "Super Mom." She is so incredible and Brock and Claudia are too much fun! See you soon! WE love you!

Sorry.. forgot to turn the first picture. I have been SO horrible and not taken ANY pictures of us skiing this season! We have had such a blast... thank you Snowbird. With all the snow this year we have been eating it up! The second picture is of me and some of the girls i work with at The Canyons... another hard day in the office!

And last but not least...

Our house!!! We are seriously so excited and cannot go a second without thinking and talking about it. The first picture is just a rendering of what it will "look like." The second is a picture of Landon kicking all the mud off his shoes on our lot! The view is so amazing... Mt. Timp and Utah Lake. They say it will be done in July, so we are planning on September. You know how it goes! Visitors welcom... but your payment for staying is laying a piece of tile before you leave! Stay tuned in for updates!

We love you all SO MUCH! XOXOXOXXXXXOOOOO-

The table!

I forgot to add pictures of the new table, and thanks to everyone for pitching in. Mike was super surprised! Now we just need some visitors to come and play games with us.

Maddie actually grabbed the wrench and tried to imitate what I was doing. What a good little helper!

Whaddya think?

Random stuff

Hey everyone, I need your opinion. We are having Maddie's 1 year pictures and a family picture done and we want to wear white with jeans. I am having the hardest time finding a shirt! I have tried on about 20 and finally found this on clearance at Charlotte Russe. I can't decide if I like it because of all the ruffles. Dana and I were just laughing about the ugly poet's blouses we used to wear! :) Give me your honest opinion--will this work or should I go with some more basic? Sorry about the dumb self-portrait.

Also, I am erasing texts from my phone and I thought you might want these Noelle! They are from the day Emrie was born and they have times on them so they could help you remember the sequence of events. I don't know if you care but I hated to just erase them into oblivion!
Jan. 24 Noelle: "Just got done with the doc... He stripped my membranes so I could have her this weekend but prob. not. I'm still almost a 2... 75% efaced. Look on blog tonight!"
Jan. 25 9:06 am Dad: "Just got the call! Noelle is at the hospital with Zak and they want to keep her! Contractions closer and more intense. Come into our world little Emrie! xo"
11:30 am Dad: "Zak just sent a text...she is dilated to a 4 and has had her epidural... little Emrie is on her way on Jan. 25, 2008!"
11:55 am Zak: "She is now at a six and doing great. She's sleeping and baby is still good too. Waiting for water to break."
1:04 Zak: "Ok here we go...Water just broke and she is a ten... Unreal how fast it's going. Will commence pushing in thirty minutes... Whoa."
The next text is a picture of Emrie with a little hat and diaper on with the doc checking her heartbeat! There isn't a time on picture texts, but you know the time she was born! YAY, she made it! Also, Noellie, did the blessing write-up look okay? It was so hard to catch everything but I think we got the jist of it.

Thank You Note

Dear Family,
I wanted to thank you all for so many things! This past weekend was so wonderful and I am so glad that you all were able to come down (or up.) Dad, thanks for being such a good sport and paying for food even though there are a ton of us. We need to start paying for ourselves...also thank you for being a part of the circle. I know that it meant a lot to all of us, Zak, me, and Emrie.
Mom, of course, thank you for making Emrie's beautiful dress! I abosultely think that she was the prettiest thing in the world.
Dana, Lauren, Mom thank you for making food. I don't know what I'd do without you guys! Also, thank you for the letters for my blocks and the baby clothes Lauren. I'm excited to make them!
Grandma, if you look at this, thank you so much for making her quilt. We all think it is one of the best quilts you've made. It is beautiful. I love this picture even though poor Emrie was hungry and crying... Great Grandma, Grandma, Mom, and Daughter. Wow, 4 generations! Dana, thank you for making her bow. I get comments on how cute her bows are all the time!
Emily, thanks for helping out with Emrie all weekend. You are going to be a great mom someday.

Cutest girls in the world! Maddie and Emrie are going to be knock outs... here's a shout out to Maddie... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

And last but not least, the Uncles...Landon and Mike, thanks for being in the circle. Emrie loves you guys. Cole, thanks for coming. I know you had to work and are busy with friends. I really wanted you to meet her and be there for her blessing. It meant a ton to me. We need to spend more time together. I miss you!
