Check one off the Bucket List!!

In 1977 I stepped out of the store where I worked in Las Vegas and fell
in love... No, not with Randy! but with a car...the Mercedes 450 SL. I vowed that I would own one before I die, and guess what... I DO!!!
We went to the car auction in Sun Valley over Labor Day weekend and there it was, a beautiful little blue hard top convertable, vintage 1975. My heart jumped right in to the car with the cute girls who were showing it off (car models). We went to watch the bidding on it and to my disbelief it didn't sell. We went over to look at it again and ended up talking to the man selling it. Much to my surprise, Dad made him an offer and he handed us the keys!!! YIPEE!!!
So here are some random pictures of my new baby...

It's got a V8 and an after market muffler... can you say VROOM!!
So, that's it... Mom got spoiled!!

Introducing Ren and Emily Guthrie

They were married for time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on July 30, 2009.

There were nine bridesmaids, eight groomsmen, and three precious flower girls!

The proud parents.

The gorgeous bouquet.

The sign-in table.

The centerpieces.

The yurt (the TF reception was half in, half out).

The TF cake.

The IF cake. Both gorgeous!!!

The CANDY.

The Daddy dance.

The garter.

The car.

THE END.

P.S. A note from Mom, the Ultimate Wedding Planner.

You never do it all by yourself. I couldn't have pulled it off without all my assistants: Emily was organized and decisive (WHAT EMILY!!) about her choices, and even put together an idea book for us to keep us all on the same page. Dana ran errands, baby sat and did a lot of the leg work on picking out cute stuff (dress patterns etc.) Lauren worked with Emily on the flower order and production (thank goodness I didn't have to think about that one) and Noelle took beautiful engagement and wedding pictures to make it all look flawless. Then add Ren's amazing Mom who did all the candy and made the crazy amazing cake table... look closer at the one... and was so fun to work with. And I LOVED working with Darcie at The Party Center, she helped it all come together. Last but not least... DAD who was so patient as the bills rolled in. It all turned out beautifully!

Like mother, like son?

A few of us were looking at Mom's scrapbook and thought her 6th grade picture looked oddly familiar...

Emily's bridal shower!

The happy couple... before we kicked Ren out.

It's kind of a joke between Emily and me... I didn't realize cupcakes were trendy right now when I jokingly suggested we use them as wedding fare. They were prefect for the bridal shower!

Settin up...

The pretty momma of us all.

Little domestic wife-in-training!

Opening presents--Ashley, recognize this one?

More sistas and little Emrie looking cute! I think the shower turned out really well and hopefully Em got spoiled!

Happy Birthday Dear Grandma!!!

We love you!

Wish we could sing to you in person! Maddie was confused when I told her we were going to sing to you and she really wanted to just hop up to Idaho. Since you're not there anyway, it wouldn't work very well... Hope you are having a fabulous time at Women's Conference!

Candid Conference

I was going through my pictures today and realized that I never posted these! I just thought they were fun... I love how they just show how we are. So close as a family, and so real. Maddie, Ella, and Emrie sure are spoiled with love!
